Christine Hernandez Torrralba

Christine Hernandez Torrralba grew up in Harlingen with her older brother and sister and her parents, Librado and Blanca Hernandez. After graduating from Harlingen High School, she attended the University of Texas at Austin. Upon completing the prerequisites to pharmacy school she applied and was accepted to the UT College of Pharmacy. She lived in Austin studying and working until she accomplished her goal of graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy in May of 1998.

Christine always knew she wanted to return to the Valley to work after pharmacy school. When she graduated she accepted a job with Walgreens where she opened the first store in Harlingen and later became the pharmacy manager. After working there for a few years, she left and worked at Walmart for several years until she decided to work part time in order to have more time with her growing family. She began working at Muniz Rio Grande pharmacy part time and then was thrilled to have the opportunity to accept a permanent position there. Having worked for large chains in the past, Christine enjoys and appreciates the difference in working at an independent family owned and operated pharmacy.

When Christine is not at the pharmacy, she spends her time with her husband Danny Torralba and her three boys Justin, Jason, and Joaquin. They keep her busy with practice and activities which include baseball, basketball, football, swimming, and jujitsu. She is their biggest fan!
